Description

Our Curling Challenge competition course invites young creators to embark on an exciting journey to build a functioning LEGO model for the HKRC Curling Challenge. This course encourages students to tackle problems creatively while honing their engineering and programming skills. Using Spike Prime technology, participants will engage in hands-on learning that makes robotics accessible and fun for children in Grade 6 or below.

The program begins with an introduction to the curling challenge, covering essential game rules, scoring systems, and the professional tools they’ll be using. Participants will then move into the design phase, brainstorming and sketching their innovative ideas before constructing their models.

As students continue, they'll focus on refining their creations through modifications based on initial trials. They’ll also learn to program their models, practicing precise control to ensure they are competition-ready before filming their final presentations. This program nurtures technical skills while fostering creativity and teamwork, providing young learners with a comprehensive robotics experience that culminates in a fun, competitive atmosphere.
